More students are choosing to earn their undergraduate degree in majors that assure immediate career placement upon graduation. Some of the top majors amongst college undergrads are Nursing, Business and Education. These undergraduate degree programs are offered at a variety of colleges and universities across the country and the need for these professionals continue to rise.

In the year 2020 it has been estimated that there will be a shortage of 800,000 nurses. As the world's population continues to live longer the healthcare field remains lucrative. Student earning a degree in nursing are also given more opportunities in education. Many colleges offer adult education online which provide a student with the flexibility of class schedules and because of job security and increasing need, more students are pursuing an undergraduate degree in nursing.
